Here's a fast, easy way to experience the power of electromagnetism.
This electromagnet is comprised of 2 coils, a U-type iron core and an armature. Each coil has two terminals that can be connected in parallel to a 6V battery.
When both terminals are connected, the electromagnet is capable of lifting a load of more than 40N or 8.99 lbs. Impressive.
An excellent demonstration on physics and how electrons react.
This electromagnet is comprised of two coils, a U-type iron core and an armature. On outmost layer of the coils are several turns of rubber wires, indicating the winding direction of the coil. Each of the coils has two terminals, which can be connected in series or in parallel. When used on 4~6V, 1A in parallel the armature can bear a load of more than 40N.
The size of electromagnet is about 125mm(L) x 125mm(W) x 36mm(H), the coils have around 460 turns. The core is made by iron.
