What is a Theremin?

In 1920, engineer Leon Theremin discovered he could create sounds by waving his hand around electric fields created by antennas. For over one hundred years, musicians and engineers inspired by his findings have created amazing music featured in popular songs and sci-fi movie soundtracks.
