Physics teacher John Koser turns his students into radio receivers.
He has developed a hands-on kit that teaches the principles of sound induction/conduction in a way that students can really sink their teeth into!
When students bite on the dowel, the frequencies of the attached audio signal (from a radio) become vibrations. The sound is then transmitted from their teeth to their ears.
Students easily assemble "Tooth Toons" in just one class period. They come five to a kit, with instructions and activities. Grades 7-10.
