Four transparent habitats in one!
The Smithsonian Bio Dome Habitat is ideal for frogs, fish, bugs and ants. The kit includes a special bug catcher to capture your own bugs, a rain forest chamber, a bug chamber, an ant hill, and an aquarium for gold fish.
With the Smithsonian Bio Dome Habitat you will be able to go out into the fascinating world of nature, collect specimens you can use to create your own nature observation habitats and enjoy learning by observing, just like real scientists do.
In addition, it comes with interconnecting tubes that allow you to create dozens of habitat designs, magnifying lids that allow you to get up close and personal to all the creepy crawlie action, a water tray, a 12-page manual, and a colorful sticker sheet.
The "Rain Forest Chamber" is the main observation dome and the largest of the three domes. This area has been designed so it can be used to keep a frog, lizard or large insects. The "Bug Chamber" provides a perfect habitat for keeping and viewing smaller insects. The "Ant Hill" allows you to safely observe ants and work without disturbing them.
The aquarium is attached to the main observation dome and can be filled with water for keeping your favorite fish or other aquatic creatures. The bug catcher is uniquely designed to allow you to catch small and delicate insects from the ground or from the surface of leaves or grass and deposit them safely in your habitat.
The included 12-page manual contains instructions for designing habitats, tips on insect collecting, observation recording sheet and more.
