Product Review (submitted on September 12, 2010):
So portable, so easy to use and so easy to set up. I've had mine since 1983 and finding objects is such a breeze - just aim and look, thanks to the wide 3 degree view. Then you put in the magnifying eyepiece to get a closer look. I was able to capture the C component of the Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann near the Ring Nebula in May 2006. Less than a minute after I saw the 2 objects (at higher power) clouds obscured my view of everything and the rapidly expanding clouds had totally covered the sky. This telescope made my quick observation possible and I probably wouldn't been able to accomplish such a rare viewing with some other telescope models. Set it up on a table, on a doorstep or a car hood (with a rubber mat of course!) and it's ready. I've had many quick and easy observing sessions for so long and I've had solar eclipse parties (with a screen) as well. Durable, effective and convienient - who could ask for more? Kudos!
