and am now 52. Says it all really. I have just inherited one and I love it. Best for inanimate objects- bugs are a bit too quick to view without squashing.

The focal point is right at the end of the microscope anything beyond a couple mm from that is a blur. Very limited use.

I've got 20 sets for my students. Taking them outside is a real eye opening experience for my students. Lots of interesting subjects to study; my favorite is dirt (nature's microscopic junkyard). The bulbs seem to have the half-life of a mayonnaise sandwich...buy some extras. Be careful with the focus knob...overturning can make the lense jam. Hold the subject against the clear viewer...not like the advertized picture.

I had one of these I had bought at a thrift store. I took a class this semester about identifying plants. I had to have a new one. It was very useful and handy.

I gave this microscope to my grand daughter for Christmas. She loves it! She has spent many happy hours exploring with it.

No instructions. Cheap bulb #222 is designed to last less than 5 hours. To focus, device needs to be resting on the object. Don't buy more than 1.

This is very cheap - it does not work. It is a piece of junk.

I gave this item to my 10 year old grandson. He was busy with a new Video Game so his mom and aunt took over. Before the day was over, they both said I should have bought more than one. They passed it back and forth for over an hour. When the 'scope first arrived, I, too, felt it was a waste of money, but kept messing around with it until I found how great it really is. I may be ordering more for the older "kids".

I was so disappointed with this microscope which I purchased for my grandson. He, too, was disappointed with it. Usually the items I purchase are exceptionally well made--not his one.
