Quality Value Price Gave this as a gift to my daughter for Christmas. It seemed to work fine at first. She set it in motion (gently) exactly three times on Xmas morning and on the third try, two of the five twines that hold the steel balls in place, came undone from their hanger! I was very disappointed in the quality of this product.

Quality Value Price The quality of the steel balls is less than ideal for a Newton's Cradle. The balls don't transfer the momentum efficiently and all 5 balls end up moving after the 1st collision. This eventually happens with any Newton's Cradle, but to have start so soon was a big disappointment. I've seen much better. My guess is that a lower quality steel (one that is too soft) was used to keep the price reasonable. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a better quality product.
