Price Value Quality I bought several of the non "Ultra" models many years ago and they are an absolute blast, even for us grownups. You basically throw them like you would a football and in just a couple of practice throws, you will easily be throwing them further than the length of a football field. A very slight headwind really gets them sailing. A neat thing when throwing into the wind is they will slow down enough that older kids can run alongside of them - but they will still go hundreds of feet - it's kind of an eerie effect. I've even thrown one, started running, and caught up to it. That's throwing hard enough to go beyond a football field - you really can't throw one softly and get it to fly well.
As stated above, on concrete, the leading edge can get banged up. If you take a nail file and file down the little ridges that pop up, performance isn't affected enough to notice.
You do need a big area to play with one of these. Not only do they go really far, but any side gust really puts 'em off course, as if they're weightless, which, in effect, they are.(Posted on 11/1/10)

Quality Value Price These things are a lot of fun. We took two to a family Fourth of July party and they were seldom not in play. They are a bit hard to catch because they move so fast and they won't survive being steped on, but the kids had a blast playing with them.

Quality Value Price These are a lot of fun. You can throw them really far once you get used to it with hardly any effort at all. The only thing though is that if your throw it near paved areas the front edge gets scratched up and it doesn't work as well after a while but it shouldn't be a problem if you throw it around in a backyard or park or something like that. I highly recommend this to everyone if you want a toy that will provide you with lots of fun.
