Quality Value Price 8 inches provides a generous amount of light gathering capability to discern dim deep space features. Easy setup, easy alignment. Can use supplied cable and 3rd party software to drive the scope from your laptop computer, or use the built in hand controller to select thousands of celestial objects to view.

Quality Value Price I recently purchased this telescope from Edumund. It has been a bit cloudy & cold since, but I've had a couple of opportunities to observe with it briefly and am quite satisfied. The scope is lightweight and can be readily moved (from garage to backyard), is easy to align, and seems to have good optics (nice views of Mars). Only one downside to be aware of - that is easily remedied. The scope is powered by 8 AA batteries, and the scope burns through them quickly in only a couple of hours. There is no AC adapter (or a DC adapter for plugging into a car cigarette lighter) included with the telescope.
