This telescope is ideal for both novice and advanced astronomers. Although loaded with advanced features, set up is fast and easy with this Newtonian scope. A quick release dovetail attachment means there's no tools needed. The pre-assembled tripod with 1.25" steel tube legs saves time and provides a rigid, stable platform. Its all-coated glass optics offer clear images of land and sky.
Additional features include a permanently mounted StarPointer finderscope, pan handle Alt-Az control with clutch for smooth and accurate pointing, and an equatorial mount (CG-3) with RA and DEC slow-motion controls and setting circles. A deluxe accessory tray is also provided for convenient storage of accessories, and "The Sky®" Level 1 planetarium software accompanies the telescope so you can explore its 10,000 object database and enhanced images.
