With the sophisticated digital electronics of Watts Up? .Net meter, users can now remotely measure the power consumption of appliances.
The built-in web server allows data to be accessed via the internet. Connect the meter to the public internet, via home or office network, and the meter will automatically output data. Simply go to www.wattsupmeters.com and create a free account to access the data from your meter.
Connect a wireless adapter (for example the D-Link DWL-G820 Ethernet to Wireless Bridge Adapter) into the meter«M,14[closed single quote]»s ethernet port, and the meter can be used wirelessly.
The device measures current watts, min/max watts, power factor, average monthly cost, and 12 other energy consumption parameters. In addition, the .Net introduces active energy savings.
With an internal switching relay, the .Net can turn off power to the end load based on user configurable rules. These rules and their associated application include peak times when utility charges are higher, peak usage (watts) for commercial accounts, which are typically charged a surcharge if their consumption ever surpasses a peak threshold during the billing month, and cumulative usage (wh) for tiered pricing rates, when higher usage is billed at a higher rate.
The Watts Up .Net will conduct all these power switching procedures in addition to manual on/off for rebooting servers or while on vacation.Specifications:
