Engineering experiments exploring the clean energy of the Sun
If you’ve ever passed by a solar powered building, you’ve probably wondered just how those cells work. This kit allows you to not only assemble a motor powered by its own solar cell, it includes several simple, fun experiments that allow you to observe first hand how the cell harnesses clean energy from the Sun.
Using a Phillips head screwdriver (not included), you can build the motor and use it to send a vibrating robot sliding across the floor, or power a fan to cool off in the sunshine. No sunshine? Set your motor under your own 60-watt incandescent bulb (not a fluorescent energy saving bulb) and you can perform the experiments on a cloudy day.
Kit includes motor, solar cell, six experiments and instructions.
